Herschel's Scratch Kitchen

My daughter and I were huge fans of Herschel's until our last visit on September 29. Due to their change of hours and not being open in the evenings, we had not been in a while. Previously we had made this almost a weekly go to spot. On this return visit, the quality of food was below average. We were also charged for added pickles and a tiny (not full) plastic cup of buffalo sauce. I feel like they may have new management since last spring. If so, it has definitely been not moving in the positive direction. Definitely will not be returning. So unfortunate.

What a gem this restaurant is! The food and service were excellent. The location features a charming outdoor dining space in addition to indoor seating, where we enjoyed our meal. The waitstaff, along with the owner—who we were lucky to meet—were incredibly friendly. The portion sizes are generous. It's definitely worth the drive if you're not a local. There's street parking available, and there's also a public parking lot just down the road.

I visited this restaurant while staying with family, and my husband and I absolutely loved the food. The owner even came over to our table for a pleasant chat, which really enhanced our experience. We went on a Sunday, and although there was a crowd, we only had to wait about 20 minutes, which was definitely worth it. I will definitely make it a point to stop by every time we return to Florida!

The food was absolutely delicious! My friend ordered a variation of their eggs Benedict and couldn't stop praising it. I tried the BLT with fried green tomatoes and a side of potato salad, and it was phenomenal. The service was great, and the weather was perfect for dining outside. I can't wait to return to Florida and eat here again. It's a must-visit spot in downtown New Port Richey! Réservez une table maintenant

Great service and super kid friendly.Fresh well made fries and breakfast potatoes Chicken was fresh blacked chicken wrap was good not amazing.Fried green tomatoes needed salt but good sauce was great.Sandwiches and burgers looked amazing but didn't get to try.Very reasonably priced for downtown. Will return

Was out driving around the day before my birthday. My cousin had flown in to hangout for a few days. We were looking for mimosas for brunch, googled and found this place. Not disappointed at all, great food, great service and good prices. Totally recommend for anyone to try it!

Hands down, everything was great! If you get Cami as a server you have lucked out. She had wonderful recommendations regarding apps and food. I am now one of the 8 out of 10 who swear by the Reuben. I would come back 50 times to try out everything else on the menu

Really great food, both breakfast and lunch options. Their fried green tomato Benedict is amazing! They have indoor and outdoor seating with a cute patio area right on Main Street. Definitely would recommend coming here! Réservez une table maintenant

It’s nearly impossible to praise this restaurant enough. They’re an amazing cut above the rest in quality and service. When they say fresh, they mean it! Keep up the great work everyone. My whole family loves you!

Great food, great staff, and I love the outdoor seating. I would recommend this place to everyone. We eat there for brunch semi regularly.
