Came here this evening for dinner with hubby and daughter. It was shortly after 5 and the place was pretty empty. We were informed by our waitress that they were short a dishwasher and she was filling in. We ordered and almost 40 minutes later our food came out!?!! ?I ordered a build it yourself salad with fried chicken on top. I was told it comes with a “delicious” roll. Hubby ordered a burger and daughter had wings. Hubby’s burger came out incorrect and the tater tots were warm, daughter’s med spicy wings were sweet and her tater tots were also warm. My salad was meh…fine chopped cucumbers and tomatoes are not a great texture. And the “delicious” roll was a horrible “croissant” that tasted...
The food is truly disappointing. Although the menu looks appealing, the kitchen struggles to prepare dishes correctly. The Reuben sandwich appears to be made with low-quality ham, and the lobster rolls are improperly made, lacking toasted and buttered bread. Some items from other orders are even undercooked and served cold. There is a clear absence of quality control. While it's a nice place to enjoy a drink—thanks to the excellent bartenders, servers, and hosts—I recommend eating somewhere else beforehand. It also seems that there isn’t a manager available to address food issues, even when the staff acknowledges the problem and brings it to attention.
Abby was the best this evening! She was on top of everything and was very attentive. Some bartenders bring drinks without asking, but she made sure you wanted additional service. She ensured we had a good time without trying to oversell and looked out for our safety. This is the kind of bartender that understands her job and role, and wants you to be able to get home safely and return tomorrow. Please go to Hickory Tavern in Southern Pines, and I hope Abby is your bartender!
I had a wonderful experience yesterday! We ordered the BBQ chicken nachos, and they were absolutely delicious—I’ll definitely be coming back for those. The drinks were fantastic as well; I highly recommend the lemon drops, Long Island iced tea, margaritas, and, of course, the wine. We were celebrating a birthday, and the manager even came out to sing on a chair for the occasion! It was such a fun time, and I can’t wait to return. Thank you all for a fantastic experience! Whitney was our server and she was delightful! I’d had a tough day in the office and she lifted my spirits and made our whole experience terrific. My wings charred, all flats, with Buffalo sauce on the side were some of the best I’ve ever had, and my husband’s burger and fries were fantastic! So glad we live in Pinehurst. We will plan our next visit for a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night which is when Whitney is working!
We had a great experience tonight! Shayna was our server and she was so sweet. She took our table even though it wasn’t in her area. She was prompt and everything was great. David, the general manager, came out and brought our appetizer and we had a great conversation with him too. The food was great! Overall we had a wonderful experience. We will be coming back!!!
I came in to see if they show sports games, turns out they show almost any sport you want to see. My server Lee was amazing, she was very nice and attentive to my needs. Made sure my food and drinks were up to satisfaction. I definitely recommend for a good time with food, drinks, and sports.
