Hickory's Smokehouse

This restaurant is really great. Unlike many other American-style restaurants in the UK, this one truly does have authentic smoked meats that taste like they come from the southern United States. The service and atmosphere are exceptional. I highly recommend trying the house pale ale! I've been here for breakfast and dinner. During breakfast, we sat in the semi-outdoor area and enjoyed delicious pancakes and a chicken fried waffle. For dinner, we sat in a booth and had ribs and wings. The prices are reasonable overall, but be aware that soft drinks are more expensive than beer, so consider leaving your sweet tooth at home.

Absolutely fantastic in every aspect. The food was delicious, the selection was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the prices were reasonable. But the most standout feature was the incredible service. Our waitress, Erin, was exceptional. She was genuinely friendly and attentive, while also being efficient and professional. She is a lovely young lady and a valuable asset to Hickorys. Make sure to take care of her, as she is taking care of you, boss man.

This restaurant offers a separate menu that is gluten free, ensuring that even meat eaters can find something they enjoy. My son, who has Coeliac disease, particularly enjoys the ribs here. I personally love the mushroom breakfast bap when we come for brunch. Additionally, all dishes are clearly marked with flags, indicating they have been prepared separately.

Staff very knowledgeable, gf orders are taken by the manager. Always feel safe here. Great gf options for kids. All ice cream toppings are gf!
