Delicious home made food, lovely atmosphere... Warm and cozy local pub. My wife had pheasant, I had Lamb Hotpot... Couple of local ales and we were truly satisfied. landlord was entertaining as were the locals .. we had a lovely spontaneous evening with some lovely people... Just how life should be Cheers!!! Food drinks: Home made food... Hotpot was delicious.. people raved about the pies. The pheasant was lovely. Atmosphere was great. Serving local ales and Gins also

We were a group of 14, and the staff did a wonderful job accommodating us. I ordered the veggie curry, which was delicious and hearty after a long day of hiking (£16.95). The cocktails were reasonably priced as well, with a G&T made with local Mermaid Gin costing £6.60. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!

We absolutely love the old Highdown Inn! They offer delicious, fresh food and consistently feature a selection of five real ales. The Inn boasts a charming beer garden, with both covered and open areas to enjoy. Additionally, they host live music on certain occasions. Service: 5 Location: 5 Réservez une table maintenant

Such a lovely place, the roast dinner was amazing and the room was really nice as well, the only “problem” was the water pressure in the shower but overall 100% worth it! Staff is really nice too! Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value

The food was impeccable, and it's a fantastic pub. The young server was wonderfully polite. As for walkability, it's a lovely stroll from Freshwater to Tennyson's Monument and then down to The Highdown.

I called on Sunday, and the roast beef dinner was incredible. The staff was pleasant, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere of the place was lovely. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant is extremly cosy and serves excellent food. Also for vegetarians. It is the best experience in the UK I had so far.
