Hands down the best bagels in NJ!!! 30 years ago, I visited this place when I lived in the area... I made a weekly break for Bagels for the week. Years past and I left the area, not only did I leave the area, but I am 1500 miles away. Now when I'm back in NJ, I'm going out the way (seriously I do) to stop in Hightstown for a baker dozen bagels. This last trip a few weeks ago I picked up Bagel to take my family in Virginia! Yes, a special request. This is a family-run and operated bagel business. There are no indoor seating places to eat, its one pack your bagels and go enjoy. Bagels were made to perfection. Crispy toasty on the outside and bagelicious on the inside.Priced competitively. The place isn't as posh as it should be, but then again, we're here for the bagels.Did I say the coffee isn't bad either? Just didn't like their milk dispensing system. It's not as hygienic as can be. So I drank my coffee black, which isn't bad at all.
The only downside is that, like all other bagel shops, they are not open all day. The bagels here are always fresh and delicious. During our last visit, the employee who took my fiance's order seemed a bit confused and ended up getting our cream cheese selection wrong even after being told multiple times. But overall, the bagels were still tasty and satisfying.
Small little shop with bar seating and killer bagels. Didn’t need them toasted, we’re already so crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. I got an everything with lox and veggie cream cheese and it had the perfect amount of cream cheese and lox. They were also so fast and kind. Also the prices are incredible for the quality! Best bagels around ! They’re not small at all and if someone say’s they’re small they’re wrong! Deliciously lite and not heavy Or doughy Like lead ! If you’re looking for heavy go anywhere else! I buy 2 dozen a week and share them with my sister bc Hillsborough doesn’t have good bagels
