Hilltop Restaurant

My boyfriend and I came here on a whim one morning and were skeptical to start. The location is strange and attached to a small strip mall with a convenience store and thrift shop. For starters, we arrived and we're seated immediately in a seat we chose ourselves. It was very clean and open. Many regulars were visiting while we were there. Seeing a little older woman in the kitchen was unusual for us, as we are used to younger cooks these days. She whipped up a great breakfast! The prices are SO REASONABLE, which is so nice because many restaurants nickel and dime for everything these days, our breakfast was under 20 dollars and we were so pleased with both the quality and quantity. We had breakfast here last week, having lived here for ten years I wish we had gone to this place sooner!Homemade food, excellent service and quiet atmosphere. The restaurant only sits about 15 people, I believe there were only 5-6 tables.Our server was great, very friendly, she gave my 5 year old a colouring book and stickers to play with while we waited for our food. I had the meat lover's breakfast, food was hot and served quickly. Home fries are real potatoes not those deep fried dried out potato rocks.Unfortunately last Wednesday this restaurant received smoke damage from a fire next door, they are currently closed but I hope they re open soon! Will definately be returning!

This was our second visit to this restaurant, and it will definitely be our last. The tea and coffee tasted terrible, as if they had been made with water from the toilet. The milk for my tea was curdled, and the bacon had a fishy taste. The potatoes had black spots, and our kids' chocolate milk was close to its expiry date. My husband had to wait 20 minutes for his coffee, but at least the sausage was good. Overall, not worth the high prices.

I visit the Hilltop at least once a week. It reminds me of Cheers where everyone knows your name. The food has never disappointed. .home cooked and if you wish senior sized and priced just right. Sandy and her crew are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I go there for the good food and return for the great friendships I have made there.

I went to this restaurant for the second time and left once again feeling satisfied, full, and pleasantly surprised by the affordability. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are unbeatable. The dishes are served hot, fresh, and flavorful. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Super déjeuner! La cuisson des œufs était parfaite. Les assiettes sont juste assez généreuses et les prix vraiment abordables. Si vous voulez déjeuner en vous mêlant aux habitués locaux c'est parfait. On est loin des grandes chaînes anonymes. Le personnel est courtois et le service efficace.

Stopped for a quick breakfast. I had three eggs over-easy, home-fries and three sausages and two cups of coffee for $7.90. It was served fast and it was tasty. The ambient is not fancy. Service and food was good for a very reasonable price
