This Nepalese restaurant is the only one I know of on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The sauces here are distinct from Indian cuisine, with dishes being cooked longer. We compared it to our favorite Indian restaurants by ordering Roti with garlic and coriander, which was similar to Naan bread but with a unique twist - the coriander was mixed into the dough, giving it a slightly different color but still delicious. I enjoyed the Beef Curry for $17, with an additional side of plain rice for $3. Unlike nearby Indian restaurants, this place charges for condiments and rice separately. The beef in my curry was tender and well-cooked, indicative of the longer cooking times. However, the "tomato gravy" sauce was milder than I expected. My partner ordered the Lamb Bhutuwa, which she found to be medium hot as requested, although I found it a bit tough. While I rate the beef curry as very good, my partner's dish was enjoyable but not excellent. Overall, this restaurant is a great choice when you're looking for something similar to Indian cuisine but with a unique Nepalese twist.
