Am heutigen Samstag hatten wir die Absicht nach unserer Wanderung in diesem Restaurant Mittag zu essen. Vor dem Start um 9 Uhr wollten wir noch telefonisch einen Tisch für zwei Personen reservieren. Die Dame am Telefon meinte jedoch, dass Reservationen auf der Terrasse nicht möglich seien. Nichts desto trotz haben wir die Wanderung gestartet und waren um 11.45 Uhr im Restaurant. Das sieht ja gut aus haben wir uns gedacht. Waren doch auf der Terrasse nur drei Tische besetzt. Bei der Frage nach einem freien Tisch wurde uns sehr unfreundlich mitgeteilt, dass es nur noch einen Tisch im Innenbereich habe. Die anderen noch zahlreichen freien Tische seien alle reserviert. If you want to do a nice trip in the Jura near Basel, just drive to Reigoldswil and take the gondola lift to the top. From there it's just a 15 minute walk to the Hintere Wasserfallen. There you will get some tipical, very good Swiss food. The kids have a big playground, the service is very good and you have some great views. In winter you can take the sledge downhill (renting is possible) after a good meal and in sommer you can rent a scooter to drive down to Reigoldswil. There is even a climbing park or Lama Trekking close to the restaurant. If you want to do some outdoor adventure close to Basel and have a good lunch at the same time, just go to the Hintere Wasserfallen. Can highly recomm...
Day 2 of our family trip to Switzerland and we had been recommended the trip in the gondola and a scooter ride back down the hill (or Trottinet as it's known locally). It was lunch time so we took a punt on this restaurant and we were warmly welcomed. The menu is traditional fare we sat outside on the terrace to admire the view. Inside was a typical wooden chalet and very clean too. There was a good choice at a reasonable price we spent Sw Fr 88 between the 4 of us for food drink. Excellent schnitzel, pommes frites and sandwiches too. Beautiful location and good quality. After lunch we walked up the Passenweg.
Wir wurden schon vorgewarnt, dieses Restaurant wegen Unfreundlichkeit nicht zu besuchen, also haben wir anderswo gegessen. Der Teufel hat mich aber gestupft und wir gingen zum Dessert in dieses Lokal. Sowas von Unfreundlichkeit muss man wirklich suchen, es würde ja nichts kosten, eine andere Miene aufzusetzen, vielleicht guten Appetit zu wünschen oder ein Dankeschön über die Lippen zu bringen.Einmal und nie wieder ! A very beautifully located mountain inn with a large terrace. The menu is very manageable at lunchtime. But this means you don't have to wait long for your food. The portions are not exactly small but not too big either. The service is prompt and friendly. Overall, the price-performance ratio is right here. I will definitely come back there.
