I visited Hip Hop on Slappey Ave 5/23/24. After placing my order with the Attendant standing outside for drive thru customers there was an 35 minute wait before I reached the window to pay. The A/C in my vehicle was not working so the near 90° heat was made hotter inside my vehicle. I asked the Cashier if I could Purchase a cup of Ice. I offered the exact change so she would not have to ring it into the cash register at that moment. She said they were not Allowed to do Add Ons at the Window. I expressed that I was in Distress and that I did not consider a non food/drink item to be an Add On. She stated cups of ice and extra condiments are onsidered Add Ons. First visit to a Hip Hop Fish Chicken. The staff was friendly, welcoming, helpful, and prompt. The restaurant looked very clean and well maintained. The food tasted great. We got the regular spice and it was delicious. I don't know if this is considered southern fried food. But even if it's not, it was delicious.
I had a large order, and she was so patient with me. The customer service was impeccable. I had the catfish nuggets, and they were so good. I drove about 40 minutes to get this crack chicken and it didn 't disappoint. Everyone who ordered said their food was delicious! 10/10
I found the fried chicken I ordered to be very dry and overcooked. The wait time was quite long, and the overall experience was pretty average. However, the gizzards were good. The customer service was satisfactory.

The chicken here is absolutely fantastic! I’ll definitely be making this my go-to spot from now on. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should! It’s the ultimate destination for chicken and fish.
