We went here on vacation about a month ago it was one of the worst dining experiences we had in our lives. It was pretty quiet at the time and our server made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. When he was not busy trying to flirt with a couple of the women at a nearby table, he would say self-deprecating comments like my name is X, but it 's okay if you forget my name, which was really off-putting. We had the chicken katsu as an appetizer which actually was pretty good, but after we got it, we waited 20 minutes before our server came back and asked us if we wanted to place our ramen order, which we already placed! Why wouldn 't we want our main course to come out after we placed our appetize...
In short, It's an ok lunch spot for ramen. With a fee more details, Typical Americanized ramen place as soon as you walk in. Great. Clean. Food was ok. I got the Tonkotsu. Broth was delicious but everything else was ordinary. Mostly noodles and bot much anything with it so spice it up. I don't think the black garlic was black garlic. And my bowl came without the half egg it promised on the menu. They brought it in after I complained...Spicy Tuna on crispy rice was very delicious so I recommend that if you end up eating here. Service was good, decor was clean/respectable, and everything the kitchen put out hit in terms of taste. From the fancy water in the un-fancy plastic cup to the slightly salty, not too thick, deep pork flavor that came out the tonkotsu broth, I 'd definitely come back. I got the spicy tuna over crispy rice as an appetizer, flavors were on point but I would 've liked the rice to be a bit crispier since the rest of the bite had so many mushy components (avocado spicy tuna . The food was decent. However, 3 stars for their service charge policy and wait staff. The server informed us that the service charge was optional, but why then did they take my card and charge the 17% without asking me? The server returned my card without the receipt, even after I asked for one, as if she knew what she did was wrong. Will not return to this place because of this really dishonest practice. Been here twice in 4 years... and that's coming from someone who loves ramen. This place is decent. Does the job if you're in the area or don't want to head to DT pasadena. Has veggie option which is great. I got the pork tonkatsu... it's real ramen but.. just lacks some heart. Better than Ramen Tatsu but not as good as Ramen Tatsunoya...
This place has great service and delicious food. (Period) LOL. The broth for the Tonkotsu Ramen is so flavorful, the freshly made noodles were outstanding, and the perfectly cooked slices of pork was literally heaven. Place is small and intimate. But, service is quick and they turn tables quickly.

Perfect fast casual Ramen spot. Karage is insanely delicious, reminds me of Japan. Had the dipping ramen and my date got the tonkatsu. Both were delicious.
