even if it is now again 8 months ago, when one was in the frame of a golocal meeting in heidelberg, that closed itself was also worth a visit from me more often. not only the reason that from the castle courtyard you have a wonderful view down to the city, to the old bridge, where I had in the immediate vicinity my night camp, (hotel) as well as the view to the teasing no, which closed itself with its many styles is interesting. in earlier times a castle, this castle facility was extended over long decades to the castle. the styles were already somewhat confusing, e.g. Gothic, early late renaissance. very beautiful arcades and of course not to forget the imperial hall. as heidelberger you know: my lock is the most beautiful. were at the weekend in the mannheimer lock with audioguide but not enthusiastic.

the castle once looked better the garden was more beautifully landscaped now it is just a meadow as disintegrated as the castle itself
