The dim sum here is quite good. We arrived at 11:30 AM on a Friday and were seated right away, but by noon, there was a long line. The food was served fairly quickly, and we enjoyed every dish. I liked the ordering system that includes pictures of the items, which allowed us to mark our choices on the dim sum brochure. This feature was especially helpful for our four friends who don’t read Chinese. In terms of quality, I’ve had better dim sum at other places, but this was still satisfying. The lobster noodles, priced at $44, were just okay—not extraordinary—with a small lobster and very little meat. The standout for me was the giant zongzi, a sticky rice dish filled with meats and wrapped in...

Ok speaking as a white girl who just stumbled into this place having no clue what I walked into and not being able to read the menu, this place was fantastic. So I ordered off the picture menu and got what I think is sea cucumber. This was spiced with wasabi and was a texture somewhere between jello and a pickle. It's not something I would order again; however it was good. Next came the soup and holy cow that was absolutely fantastic! It was super hot and filled to the brim with tons of seafood (shrimp, scallop, fish, shellfish, mussel, prawn) and was spiced just right. The soup was absolutely huge and I honestly wish I had ordered just that. The food came with hot tea and a dessert soup. I...
Really good tasting dim sum spot, service is definitely the weakest link. They have an abundance of outdoor seating for those who are super cautious. There are both traditional dim sum option for those who want the classics, however there are modern twists as well. The Matcha Taro bun is a must try, even for those who are not matcha fans, the flavor is subtle. Staff attitude is slightly more hospitable than other dim sum/ Cantonese restaurants. Be aware though, staff here do nickel and dime, was charged 1.15 for water. I thought I was in Europe! They threw on an automatic 15% tip onto the bill for my party of 2.
The steamed fish was excellent, and everything else was well prepared. The view of the bay was spectacular and well appreciated.Unfortunately, even with a reservation and our on time arrival, we were made to wait for at least 15 minutes even though there were plenty of tables available. They were understaffed and service suffered noticeably as a result. That had an outsized impact on the enjoyment of the meal and the overall experience. Réservez une table maintenant
It's also important to mention that when organizing a wedding at this venue, you are responsible for many details yourself, including decorations and vendors like chair covers, rectangular tables, DJs, and lion dancers. The venue seems to be more suited for a traditional Chinese banquet reception instead of a full-scale wedding.
There was no wait when we arrived at 10am on a Sunday. Beautiful ocean view and the dim sum was good. Besides the usual dishes like the shrimp dumplings and beef with rice noodle roll, we enjoyed the mackerel and the lava salted egg yolk buns. The piggy shaped mango pudding was a nice treat for the kids.
The preserved egg and pork congee at HL Peninsula is extremely disappointing. It lacks savoriness and has a strong fishy flavor. I have tried many congees, but this one is the worst. I can't believe the decline in their food quality. I would recommend avoiding this dish.
You can enjoy watching planes take off and land while indulging in dim sum. The prices are quite reasonable. However, I find that the other HL restaurants are slightly better than this one. Réservez une table maintenant
I really enjoy the BBP Pork buns and pastries, along with the chive and shrimp dumplings at this restaurant.
The Siu Mai is not very good, but the ribs and congee are excellent.

"It's a small little bar on the backside of Curry Up Now. Although it says that they are open till 12 AM, they got closed at 10:30 PM on a Friday. So we did not get a chance to try their cocktails."
