Hohenstaufenpfalz - Réservation de table

We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in Bad Wimpfen . I opted for the conventional Schnitzel whereas my wife opted for something which had a german title that we did not understand. When we asked the waitress what it was in our mangeled german , she asked the other diners how to describe it in english . Pretty well everyone there had an opinion and a lady nearby came up the the group consensus "Beef Salad". It turned out to be a good choice and after that we had different people coming by to practice their english and ask about our country ( New Zealand). A good night with both the food and the company

We had no problem with language, our waitress spoke good English and between our poor German and her good English we had no problem. Don't be put off going here by language, its worth a visit.The place itself is crisp and clean nicely furnished with tables not on top of one another so makes for a nice place to eat and talk with friends without the need to shout.The food was great, high quality, beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. We would have no hesitation recommending this delightful place to eat.

Small and friendly with good service. My wife had schnitzel with white spargel, which was in season. She enjoyed her meal very much. I had rinderouladen which did not offend, but was bland. I should have made another selection as I'm spoiled by my wife's rouladen. I recommend the place based on her experience, on the cozy and pleasing atmosphere, on the menu selection and the excellent service.

A great traditional German restaurant. As noted by others, the staff generally does not speak English but that was not a deterent. If Spannferkel (suckling pig) is on the menu, try it! The version with sour cherry sauce, knodel and rotkohl is outstanding. It was so good it made the other food, which is very good, pale by comparison. Atmosphere, prices and staff are all very good Réservez une table maintenant

Zwiebelrostbraten with Spaetzle and "Wimpfener Teller" ( beef roulade, maultasch and roast pork ) are highly recommended and really delicious excellent Every dish comes with Spaetzle Try the Most ! Be aware it contains alcohol it's Apple wine not apple juice like it used to be in other parts of Germany Friendly service Outside seatings

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and it didn't disappoint. It had a nice atmosphere, cosy with heavy beams and dark timber. Our German waitress spoke no English, but nevertheless tried very hard to help us make our meal selections. We thought the food and wine was very reasonably priced and the service excellent.

The food and prices are very good. No one speaks English here, so for our English speakers it is good if you memorize a few key food words in German. You can of course also order in Russian or German. The service is excellent.

This restaurant has an excellent menu and the food was okay. Our pork steaks were a little too lean making them dry, but the sauce with mushrooms made up for it. The noodles as a side dish was perfect. Réservez une table maintenant

I had the Gemischter Braten and it was terrific! We ate outside and it really was my favorite meal in the region of the entire week there.

Food was OK, service friendly and priced good. The square was very authentic so try to Dit outside weather permitting
