American Airlines should be ashamed. They did it again and had a delay at one location which caused passengers to have to miss their connecting flight. This happens a lot with them so I was not surprised. What did surprise me was the fact that they would not accommodate two underaged young ladies who flew on British Airlines (one of their sister airlines) with a room at their partner Holiday Inn which was below my standards (soiled room carpet, nasty elevators, less than pleasing food selections at a moderate to high cost, and filthy corridors). The two teenagers (18 and 19) were clueless on how to resolve the matter and British Airlines' employees were extremely rude and unprofessional when they tried to call them for assistance. My best friends and I ended up purchasing an extra room and food so the young ladies could have a safe place to sleep (since we were in sex traffic hell) and something to eat before their flight took off for Philadelphia the next morning to visit a sick relative. They were not given a room voucher for hotel nasty or a $12.00 food voucher like we received!!! Thank you to the Holiday Inn employee that gave us $10.00 off the room charge. The airlines (and hotels) are billion dollar industries that depend on our dollars while sometimes treating customers like criminals. Shame on you America Airlines, British Airlines, and Holiday Inn Miami! I realize that these companies will NOT change just because I wrote this post, but I want others to be aware before/when you have this encounter!
