Buga is an interesting and chilled town that we only visited because of Buga hostel. They seem to be the only place to promote the town to western tourists. In Buga you can hike to the mirador and beyond - all day if you want. Great. You can visit Laguna el Sonso for birds snd nature, but do book a guide ahead. You can also do a downhill biking trip from Alaska - 15km - bit mjeeh. You can do tours with Pipo tours through Buga hostel - not worth it (theyre only 30k cop though)Also visit the church to witness some catholic worshippers, the pretty cool graveyard and the old train station with a talkative housekeeper.Almost forgot about the free brewery tour - great fun!Cheap ice cream 1000cop/cono...

Not that Buga is in any type of desert, but I was kind of surprised to find a micro-brewery in the Cauca Valle, despite the Poker beer plant in Yumbo. I am not much of a beer drinker, but the name Holy Water Ale Brewery was just too cute of a pun on the Catedral de San Pedro and Basilica menor del Senor de los Milagros de Buga that I could not resist a visit. I was able to book a tour of this micro-brewery, based at a hostel, which was quite informative. The hops are actually imported from Belgium or Germany and at one time possibly the United States. They make about a dozen different ales mixing some of the more local fruits and other roots, if you will. I especially enjoyed the Imperial wh...

I don't think it matters what you order here, but I can vouch for the amazing sandwiches in toasted turkish style bread being delicious. They are however almost 10 inches in diameter meaning you'd need a big stomach to fit one in. The beer selection is also impressive and the staff courteous. A good lunch option in Buga.

The beers here were excellent, some better than others but all worth a try. The juices and desserts were delicious as well. The pizza was a little too crowded and undercooked, but my friend had the sandwiches and said they were unreal. Overall would recommend this place! Réservez une table maintenant

Popped by mainly to try out the beers. Some quite interesting tastes. Also had a pasta and hummus - both good. Great fresh juices too. Had a really nice afternoon despite the traffic below. Haven't found much else in Buga, but the Holy Water is worth a stop.

Wife and I came and we get menus pretty fast. Then the waiting person disappeared. We waited and waited and waited for her to return to our table. After 25 minutes. Sadly disappointed by employees who don't give cracks.

A very nice selection of different Micro brewed beers with great flavor but my favorite part is the sour dough that comes from a starter with a 150 year history! Great memories & new friends. A MUST stop.

This place is great! the food is delicious and the beer is... NOT industrial. The artesan beers are tasty and strong, and the central location of the restaurant cannot be beaten. Réservez une table maintenant

I was here often eating is still good. The sections are small. And they have some new chairs that are really uncomplicated.
