Laidback country atmosphere, feels like I am at the house except I don’t have to wash the dishes when I am finished. Locally owned and operated. They employ a lot of local high school students to serve and buss tables, which I think is a great thing. I started working when I was in high school. Though young the staff are very professional and polite. I you have read any of you would know service and atmosphere can get a 5 star review even if the food is mediocre. Home Plat Grill has it all! We will be back soon.
Home Plate is a friendly and comfortable place to eat. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. I love her bacon cheeseburger with a side of BBQ sauce! The only negative I've ever had here was a bit overcooked roasted Okra. Parking is tricky. I usually park on the street at the church and enjoy a walk across all small business houses.
The service couldn't be better. Every server is your server. They share tips tables so, your cup is never empty the food is always delivered hot right away. They have daily specials/sides good home cooking. There's a salad bar a good variety offered in the menu. There's something for everyone
