I have visited 4 times so far, and each time has been a treat. I have tried both dinner and breakfast meals and both have been delicious. The service has been perfect and the prices are extremely reasonable. I marked the $10-$20 range because hubby is a big eater, but you can easily get a filling meal for $10 or under. We moved to the area from the big cities recently and we think we've found our go-to place!
Very nice. Visit to business and hotel recommended. The service was excellent and the food was homemade. I had salad, chili and everything you can eat roasted pollen with coconut cake for dessert.... $12!! Do not expect a steak dinner, this is a mother and pop restaurant with midwest Stick To Your Ribs food... but it is excellent!
We walked in and seated ourselves. Took at least 10 minutes to even have a waitress come up and get what we wanted for drinks. There were only 2 other tables with people at them. We were ready to walk out and go somewhere else. There was a differentcouple that came in and walked out. The food on the other hand was very good.
This is a fantastic restaurant to dine at. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are very friendly. They serve delicious homemade food, including soups, burgers, beef dishes, and delectable homemade cakes. If you find yourself in St. James, definitely give Hometown a try—you won't regret it! The food was great, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Best value for the dollar we have seen in a long time! This is a great place to eat we were just passing through town, but would definitely go again if we are ever in town again in the future!

Stopped in passing through town. Came in 20 minutes before close and they had a buffet special. Food was incredible and fresh, ice cream was great, and service was awesome! Worth stopping in!
Great wholesome food! Small town cafe with a huge menu, including commercials, sandwiches, dinners, and PIE, PIE, PIE! And it is made from scratch. Highly reccommend, if you are in the area. Réservez une table maintenant
Best restaurant in St James, sadly there aren?t any competitors, but if their were they wouldn?t hold up to these guys. Try for yourselves. Their specials are insanely good.
