**Mixed Review: Staff vs. Food**
**Staff:** My experience with the staff was inconsistent. Upon entering, the first hostess I encountered was neither friendly nor welcoming. I informed her about the number of people in my party and mentioned that I had joined the Yelp waitlist, but I wasn't sure if the timing had passed. She responded with a blank stare and seemed distracted. I'm unsure if she was unfamiliar with the system or simply uninterested in assisting a Black patron. Fortunately, another host approached with a smile, asked for my name, found our reservation on the waitlist, and led us to our table. I recently started following a dairy-free diet due to an allergy and was eager to see the vegan options on the menu, assuming they would use vegan butter or oil for cooking. I inquired with the waiter about using a separate skillet for cooking the vegan food, and she checked with the kitchen. Unfortunately, she informed me that they use regular dairy butter to cook the vegan dishes. I was able to have my meal made without butter, but there are no true vegan options available at this restaurant.
The menu features a few vegan options in the "heart hearty" section. I tried the vegan breakfast hash while my partner opted for the tofu sandwich. Both dishes were just average; the hash was quite oily even though it was marketed as "heart healthy," and the tofu sandwich lacked flavor. Overall, it's a reasonable choice for dining with non-vegans, but we probably wouldn't choose to come back on our own.
This breakfast restaurant is wonderfully bright and spacious. The service was excellent, and the menu offers a wide variety of unique meal options. We ordered the Southwest Omelet with hash browns, wheat toast, and coffee, as well as the Signature Honeyberry specialty pancakes, which came with scrambled eggs, bacon, a fruit bowl, and iced milk.

Southwest skillet was on point. The servings here are pretty large. A lot of alternative meat options if you?re not into pork. The chicken sausage tastes amazing. Don?t recommend the coffee/espresso. It?s definitely not your ?traditional? tasting brew ?it?s an acquired taste. Our server was good. Overall good experience.
This place is loud, there is absolutely nothing to absorb the noise making conversation difficult. The staff is friendly but the service overall was very slow. The food was alright (had the egg Benedict). I won't be going back but you have to try something to know.
There were only a few vegan options available, but they were clearly marked. The tofu breakfast sandwich was large and will easily serve as an extra meal for me. It’s great to have another nearby spot for breakfast.
They offered only three vegan options, but I enjoyed the vegan breakfast hash I tried. I visited again later and it wasn’t as good, so maybe the quality varies by day. Updated from my previous review on 2021-05-15.

Excellent place to eat. Be prepared for a small wait bc everyone wants to eat here. But it's worth every bit of the wait. The portions are large and the food is just great. You won't be able to finish it all.
Wonderful service and amazing food! We had the country fried steak and sausage sandwiches with great mimosas. Delicious and highly recommend! We will be back!
