If you enjoy rich, flavorful donuts without excessive toppings or decorations, then these are the perfect choice for you. As a purist myself, I appreciate donuts that stick to the basics, and these are truly wonderful! After a day spent paddling, hiking, or exploring, a visit to Honey Donuts should definitely be on your agenda. You won't be let down by either the pastries or the service! Just a heads up—parking can be tricky, so it might be a good idea for one person to stay with the car while someone who isn't a fan of donuts goes inside to pick them up. Otherwise, there's a chance the order won’t make it back! And be prepared for lines…
The maple glaze on their donuts is fantastic, but I might be in the minority when I say that the donuts themselves feel a bit heavy and doughy—not my favorite texture. However, when I treat myself to a donut, I always go for the maple bacon. Their coffee is decent as well. What really shines, though, is their bread; the Reuben is incredible, largely due to the high quality of the bread. Their potato bread is also quite tasty, but I find the potato bread breakfast sandwich to be a bit too heavy on the bread, which leaves me feeling a bit dry. As for parking, it can be challenging to find a spot during peak times.
These donuts are amazing! I walked in with low expectations after reading some reviews, but they turned out to be surprisingly soft and delicious! I tried the cinnamon coconut and the cinnamon sugar flavors, and both were fantastic, with the cinnamon coconut really shining. However, the strawberry rhubarb muffin was just average and a bit cold. Overall, I highly recommend this place!
The donuts here are exceptionally fresh and unlike any I've had before, resembling sponge cake in the shape of a donut. We only waited five minutes in line at 10 AM on a Saturday, and the service was remarkably fast. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating options. Wow! This place is incredible and truly deserves all the praise it gets! I highly recommend trying the original dish—it might not appear impressive, but it's the standout on the menu. You'll see why it's so special as soon as you take a bite. I’d even go so far as to say I would order it all the way from Alabama!
Overall, I had a fantastic experience! This place is definitely worth a visit, particularly if you’re a fan of donuts. They are incredibly indulgent and probably contain over 600 calories each. I tried to find the exact calorie count online but couldn’t locate any information.
