This was definitely a bad experience for me 4/2/22. After getting a text message stating my group and I table was ready, we get there and the host and people don?t know what?s going on. 15 more minutes waiting and the host was kindly enough to sit us anywhere. I believe they were short staff so not only did she sit us she took our order. We ordered drinks and oysters for appetizers and our seafood boils. It was a table of 4. Table was small. Our food came out before our appetizer but once our oysters came out we had to stack cold trays on our hot food because we didn?t have a room on the table. I began to ask for the supervisor because this has been poor customer service. Supervisor heard me...
This was a two-part order, not sure which I apos;m rating. Thank you! Meanwhile, the food was really good, but please add condiments and ketchup, it definitely helps to complete the customer apos;s order for taste! It seems like a small thing, but makes a huge addition. Additionally, since this was a group order, I really felt bad about it, because all of the staff asked to make certain that it was noted prior to the order being placed, which I did, by literally screaming it in all capts. Smiles, help us, help you in the future, by honoring these small requests, they mean a lot to the requester. Thank you, Hook Reel and DoorDash!
We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was not busy as it was roughly 745pm and we were immediately placed in the back corner of the restaurant. Which wouldn’t have been a concern until we waited over 15-20 minutes and counted multiple servers who passed by our table without a word. Understanding we were a minority couple, the restaurant was not busy, and we were made to feel uncomfortable we immediately left. This restaurant will not have our families business. We have frequented other branches of this chain and not had the same experience.
We had the most amazing experience with Isis. She gave us suggestions and we are sitting here stuffed. We are trying to figure out how to make more room. My friend had the flounder basket. She said it was flavorful and light, even though it was fried. I had the shrimp and the New Zealand ?? mussels. It is super yummy and I?m trying to find room in my tummy ?. The food is delicious but the customer service deserves 10 stars ??. Thank you for a great experience with my friends ??.
The ValuePak flyer advertised happy hour Mon-Friday until 7pm. We arrived, yesterday Friday evening at 6:20pm, and the bartender rudely informed us that their happy hour is over at 6pm. She did not honor the flyer at all. In lieu of that setback, we stayed at the bar and ordered drinks and food. To our dismay, our seafood boil had raw contents! Hook and reel has bad service and bad food!
Food was so off the chain we went back twice during our 4 day visit to DC! Don 't get the fire broil unless you are truly ready to feel the spicy heat... happy hour prices are decent. A true getting messy spot....they provide bibs, gloves, and wipes... definitely a good experience overall. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
The food was amazing, the waiters were super and beautiful and it was not packed. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. My friend ordered lobsters and it was gummy and tasted funny. He got sick, but the prices were very high. Overall amazing food and service next to the lobster!
