Little hidden gem just outside of Chelmsford, Lived in Chelmsford for a few years now and thought we would try somewhere new for lunch ! Found the pub on trip advisor. Was initially put off by seeing comments regarding them not taking cash but we decided to bring our cards and give it ago. To our surprise when we arrived they were taking cash again Melina done a cracking job Sebring us and food was perfect. Will definitely be returning !!!!

Brilliant food. Josh our waiter was very attentive and friendly. My sister didnt know what she wanted to she asked josh what he recommends and of course he said everything so she asked what he liked the best and he said bangers and mash on the specials menu and she loved it! Overall it was a brilliant experience! Thank you josh and the kitchen team!

Very disappointed. Squid starter tasteless. Soup thin consistency and swimming in oil. Didn't have much flavour. Ribeye was very grissly, chips greasy (was taken off the bill though). Seabass was OK but I didn't like the risotto accompaniment. We both went home hungry. On the plus side staff was very friendly.

Excellent service from start to finish and delicious food catering for two families. Special thanks to Mason for an excellent service, making conversation with the kids and listening to all our requests we felt well looked after.

Really enjoyed the meal tonight. Mason (our server) did a great job at ensuring we had what we needed. Top service for a Saturday night
