We have walked past Hortas 100's of times when going to the beach, and finally went in for dinner. It was a cooler night so the fire was on and toasty warm, it has a lovely atmosphere for dinning (will be back in the summer to take in a sunset on the deck) and another more casual drinking area. We started with some house made bread which was generous and delicious. We shared 2 xTapas to start Cod Fish Balls & Pork Sticky ribs both tasty. Hubby had the fish & chips (flathead) & I had the SA Mussels as a main course AMAZING. We didn't have room for dessert this trip would have been tricky to choose. Fantastic service from Emily, looking forward to visiting again.
I must admit it was a beautiful sunny winters day when we visited this restaurant but the absolute water front site was so enticing. One inside we looked straight out across the gulf basking in the afternoon sunshine. This is a genuine Portuguese restaurant and the food was very, very good. The service was genuine and very friendly. After lunch you can take a stroll out along the jetty or walk along the beautiful sandy beach. What moe could you ask for?
2nd time we have been for a meal and both times it has been great. The atmosphere is fantastic also. We left feeling so full that we couldnt fit in dessert. Danny made you feel so special and was very informative and nothing was a bother. Thank you :)
Went here for dinner after capturing sunset shots from the jetty. Quite busy considering the cold night. Served quickly, food was very tasty, fantastic waitress Emily looked after us. Lots of attention from other staff as well.

Lovely outlook overlooking the sea, perfect at Sunset! Coffee and cake to die for, staff very accomodating and friendly! Our third time for coffee and cake! Will be back for sure! Easy parking too.
Excellent service- thanks Danny! The seafood platter was really great- although the gnocci sauce & flavours left a lot to be desired. Amazing desserts too. Would definitely come back
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch which coupled with friendly service, Coopers beer and a gorgeous view of the Pier made for the perfect venue to meet our Aussie "Rellies".
Lovely restaurant and good service. Food is good. Lots of different things to try, menu varied. Tapas or main meals. However, it's the view that makes this place..............

Beautiful food and wine staff lovely and helpful. Owner mingles with customers and is very warm and friendly. This is a must do. The deserts are magnificent.
