the environment was beautiful. the food was good and beautifully presented. the only waiter explained every cure and was clearly a well-trained and experienced waiter who ensured that we had everything we needed. unfortunately, because he was the lonely waiter, the time between each was long. it was an hour before we were served our starter. all in all, we were at the table for over three hours. we do not wait for freshly cooked food, but an hour waiting for our starter was too long.
We had not been here before, although had tried on several occasions. It was worth the wait. Food was good, plus the amuse-bouche, as well as the carafe of Brouilly to go with the special Quercy lamb cutlets. The portion size was verging on American, and a three course meal will fill pretty much anyone up. Service was discreet and pretty efficient. Will definitely be returning.
