Je recommande vivement le restaurant Les Criquets. Nous y avons eu un repas absolument fantastique hier soir. La nourriture était exceptionnelle, la présentation une œuvre d'art. Nous avons eu un menu surprise de dégustation avec du foie gras, du homard, de l'agneau et une variété de glaces. Chaque plat était accompagné d'un excellent vin approprié. Il n'est pas surprenant que ce restaurant soit un restaurant Michelin... bien mérité. Le personnel était discret, très professionnel et surtout très accueillant et agréable. Gina (Irlande)
I would highly recommend the Restaurant Les Criquets. We had an absolutely fantastic meal there yesterday evening.The food was exceptional, the presentation a work of art. We had a 'tasting surprise menu" with foie gras, lobster, lamb and a variety of ice-cream. Each dish was served with an excellent appropriate wine.It is no surprise that this restaurant is a Michelin restaurant...well deserved.The staff were discreet, highly professionnal and more importantly, very welcoming and pleasant. La nourriture était très bonne et assez chère. Le service était plutôt compliqué car il y avait un peu de monde, mais rien de gênant. 2, les serveurs avaient l'air très neufs, donc cela devait être la raison. Très grand parking, mais pas très agréable de rouler à côté des tables à manger pour y accéder. Globalement, c'est un très bel endroit dans une petite ville en dehors de Bordeaux.
The restaurant was open al 19.00 but we had to wait till 19.30 before we could go in. We had cocktails which were ok. The entree was very good, but the main course was disappointing. There was fish, which we don't like and only one choice for meat: rabbit, which was not very exiting. The digestif Calvados was tremendous experience. The service was nice and good.
Food was great quality and fairly priced. Service felt a lot bit chaotic as it was a bit busy but nothing unmanageable. 2 of the waitresses looked very new so it must have been the reason. Great big parking space but not very nice to have to drive next to dining tables to access it. Overall a very nice place in a small town outside Bordeaux.
