Off the beaten path David, found this incredible airy gastronomic restaurant, that has vaulted ceilings, country style furnishings and serves gourmet Mediterranean cuisine. There's also a dining terrace with umbrella-shaded tables, and a wine cellar overlooking the Main Street and school. This restaurant is owner...operated and probably has tables. It’s a bit far from Monaco but worth the extra effort in coordinating a private car. As you enter the restaurant you enter through a courtyard and take a flight of stairs to find this quaint airy, vaulted ceiling restaurant with the option of sitting outside on the balcony. If it wasn’t so hot we would of chosen to sit outside. As we were seated we offered all this amazing courses instantly and asked if we would like start off with Champagne. Of course in our minds, why not? Let’s get straight the the point and dinner started! We chose to get the tasting menu which was just incredible, the flavors of each morsel was light, tasty, perfectly orchestrated for a discerning foodie, the service was delightful and executed with style and elegance. The bakeries was incredible! Homemade rolls from the oven warm, outside was nice and firm, crunchy but as you broke the roll the steam was coming out and as you slathered the roll with homemade churned butter, the flavors just melded together and melted in your mouth, focaccia bread was light, with a slight flavor of rosemary, breadstick flakey and buttery with the right amount of salt, delicate cherry tomato in a buttery cup pastry, garlic melded butter with local herbs, celery, basil cream, fresh olive coupled with this cold tomato soup with a cucumber, celery sorbet, this was just magnificent. Our tasting menu started shortly after this and each item that was served just got better and better each time, the flavors was incredible, presentation was just out of this world and worth the value for the experience. The delivery of each course was presented and executed with precision. The first course was lobster slightly tossed in flour, spices, drenched in a very light egg batter which was delicate, pan fried in butter with slivers of almonds accompanied with a raspberry sauce and garnished with fresh greens. Fresh tender cuttle fish with fresh peas and Lima beans, in a light sauce, garnished with local garden greens. Fresh homemade pasta, filled with local fresh buffalo cheese cream, black truffles, wild mushrooms and asparagus tips. Extracted Langostines juices with fresh peach, slightly steamed prawns with a wild asparagus. Airy with a velvet Citron, Jasmin, Citronelle infused shrimp Steamed sea bass which was so flaky, crisp cucumbers, loquat, seedless watermelon extraction. Fresh local succulent fish, served with creamy mashed potato, sliced of tomatoes in a bouillabaisse sauce with local fresh herbs. Baby hearty fresh lamb sautéed in butter, grilled and charred, potato purée, fresh corset and flower, wild mushrooms, served with a light delectable sauce. Charred wild pigeon, thinly sliced rare, grilled goose liver pate, served with morel and wild mushrooms served with a Sauvignon reduction sauce. Infused dark red cherries in alcohol, served with cream gelato

My wife and I, having just experienced the chaos and confusion of Monaco, were ready to enjoy a quiet and peaceful dinner, so we took the up to La Turbie and had dinner at Restaurant Jerome at L'Hostellerie Jerome. What a great find! Off...the beaten path, you owe it to yourself to try this restaurant if you haven't done so before. It is truly excellent in every way; service, decor, and of course, the food. We were warmly greeted as we arrived and quickly shown to our table. The service was quick and professional with the hostess clearly describing our dinner menu choices. Our order was taken and we began to enjoy one of the most amazing meals on our entire trip. Each course was superb and each was preceded by an amuse bouche surprise. I had read that the chef at Restaurant Jerome is highly regarded in the culinary circles of France and after eating his dishes, I can clearly see why; he is very talented. If you get the chance, I highly recommend that you give Restaurant Jerome a try; it truly is excellent in every way
