First, the pizza was great! We were in the area for the weekend and we were looking for more of a sit-down place. They actually did really good for the little room that they have. They have outdoor bar under an awning in the back. They also have picnictables on a little lawn down to the river. They had a couple of summer themed frozen drinks, which were pretty good. If you'relooking for a sit-down dining experience this probably isn't what you're looking for. Good pizza though, and a lovely timesitting by the river. We did find it quite expensive for what we got.
Hot Tomatoes is a fantastic restaurant that deserves 5 stars, not only for their delicious pizza, but also for their friendly staff. During our visit, we had the pleasure of enjoying their outdoor seating area, which was amazing! In the backyard, there is a bar with plenty of seating, as well as a beautiful grassy slope that leads down to a creek. This is the perfect spot for a romantic date, a family outing, or even a fun time with your furry friend! They have picnic tables and Adirondack chairs available for guests to relax in.
I attempted to place an order between 4pm and 6pm but was unable to reach anyone by phone. The website indicated that they were not currently accepting online orders. I was disappointed as I was eager to try their pizza. It should not be so challenging to place an order. The service was for take out.
We held a private event at Hot Tomatoes in June and the Angie team went above and beyond to meet our expectations. The food, atmosphere, and communication were exceptional. Hot Tomatoes was once our favorite pizza spot, but it has declined in quality over the past six months. The pizza and service that were once reliable are now inconsistent. We suggest trying some of the other superior pizza options available in the Williamstown/North Adams area.
We hosted a private event this past June and Angie team far exceeded our expectations. The food, atmosphere and level of communication was top notch. We’d recommend hosting an event at Hot Tomatoes or just dropping by for a slice by the river. Thank you, Hot Tomatoes!
