Hotel Alpina Restaurant

We had the best capuns ever yesterday Restaurant Alpina. You earn a 5* rating, but I got pissed off and unhappy when paying the bill Because I'm in a bottle against water, we ordered tap water, because it's really... good in Vals. To our surprise, they accused us of CHF 5. Why? Yes, someone had to open the tap, fill a bottle, bring it to the table, pour it into my glass and then carry out the empty bottle again together with my used glass, which had to be put into the dishwasher by someone. The person must start the dishwasher, they emptie the glass into the beakered. In my knowledge, Switzerland is the only country in which it charges for tap water. We had a great meal for dinner in the busy restaurant (its also a hotel). The decor is very modern but with lots of wood. Staff is friendly and service fast. The food was delicious they have many local specialities, such as „kapuns“. They...also serve a vegetarian option for „kapuns“ which is hard to find. We had to try this option as well and ist great! Pricing is reasonable for a good dinner.

Das Essen war sehr gut, aber etwas zu wenig, beim Wiener Kalbsschnitzel nur wirklich eine halbe Hand voll Pommes, wirkt knausrig, allerdings war der Preis angemessen, die isteuropäische Bedienung war nett, aber such sehr langsam, allerdings musste sie wirklich auch alles selber machen inklusive Getränke zapfen, Fazit: gut, aber mit Spielraum nach oben

Food is good, but the service is very bad. I complained to be ignored by an ignorant waiter. Mitten in Vals kann man hier gut essen.Im schön gestalteten Restaurant wird man nett, schnell und gut bedient. Das Essen ist lecker und gut portioniert.Die Weinkarte ist ok.Alles in allem gut. Besonders und innovativ vielleicht nicht. Aber sehr gut.

Wir haben hier wirklich ausgezeichnet Wild gegessen - und das zu einem Preis, der mehr als in Ordnung geht. Dazu kommt der aufmerksame und frundliche Service. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen und eignet sich besonders für Paare/Familien.
