Hotel d'Alibert

The restaurant at the Hotel d'Alibert in Caunes-Minervois is a beautiful, elegant restaurant with food that can simply be described as fabulous! The asparagus soup was the best soup of any kind I've ever had. There's a gorgeous, romantic garden which would be wonderful to dine in too if the weather is good. If you're lucky, the owner, Frederique, will be there to regale you with local knowledge and tales of his time spent in the US. While not inexpensive, this is a very special place that you won't regret treating yourself to.

Situated in the centre of the older part of Caunes, opposite the Marie the Hotel d'Alibert offers a great dining experience. Served by Frederique, the owner in a beautiful period room the wines selected for us were fabulous and the food, served simply without fuss, was a delight. We were more than happy to take a second set of friends visiting from the UK to the Alibert a few weeks later!

We picked up the two piece and 1 piece halibut fish and chipsThe fish was tasty but I wish we had eaten it at the restaurant while it was warm.
