We spent 6 nights at the hotel which served as a base for day tours in Tirol. It is a small 2-story country hotel, typical to this part of Austria, with beautiful geranium decorating the balcony. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the owner was very friendly, the room we had was spacious very quiet, functional, very clean and looked renovated. There is a small village just a short walk across the street where you can spend a very pleasant evening over some beer. There is a nice wood at the back where you can take a relaxing walk and the Zalach river is only few steps away. It is a very nice place to have a good night's sleep after a busy day. Very friendly staff and the food was awesome but be careful: This is a dedicated smoking restaurant! I did not new that this still exists and Austria has this kind of law, but this restaurant does not have a non-smoking and smoking area, it is smoking everywhere. We were very lucky and good seated in a smaller separee where, coincidentally, nobody smoked, but the waiter advised us that, if a guest comes in and wants to smoke just next to our table, there is nothing he can do about it. However, I give this a good rating since, we were in the said seating area where nobody was smoking, the food was great and the restaurant is open late.
6 Tage Lofer, 3 mal im Dax gespeist. Besonders die Dame mit dem köstlichen Lachen hat es uns angetan. Aber auch mit den anderen Bedienungen wurden wir sofort warm. Alle sehr freundlich und freundschaftlich. Ob Forelle, Spaghetti, Salat oder Gulasch, alles sehr schmackhaft und preiswert. Gulasch mit Nudeln für 9,80. Wo gibt es das noch?Auch das Ambiente des Restaurants ist österreichisch warm. Nur zu empfehlen.
We were at DAX Restaurant on a tuesday and was told on time of reservation, that it was buffet-night, but we went there, since the testimonials were good. The childrens playroom was small and best for kids under 6, and the food was below average. The buffet had 1 soup, salads, 2 meats and ice burgers for the kids. €70 was a bit much for 2 2 considering the quality. Thumbs up for the friendly service. Réservez une table maintenant
