I always try and get a drink a snack or a meal here as it fits perfectly with the cool beach vibe or Cap Ferret and l'herbe. Never stayed but looks very inviting especially the balcony. Can get very busy so recommend arriving early from 5pm tho they will always try and fit you in depending on table availability. Menu is not the cheapest in the world for eating but after visiting the wonderful cabins of the fishing hamlet l'herbe you will want to get a slice of local life for yourself. Big tip there are no cars for non residents allowed in l'herbe so park up on the cliff and walk down the steps and approach via the road past the cabins or park over near the Algerian church (moorish style wort...
L'endroit semble agréable, bien situé dans un coin confortable du Cap Ferret. Malheureusement, c'est le seul point positif de cet endroit : le service est aussi mauvais que possible. Les serveurs vous ignorent constamment, se trompent, ont l'air grognons et tristes lorsque vous leur dites gentiment que ce n'est pas la bonne manière de faire, le propriétaire intervient avec le classique 'Monsieur, c'est inutile de s'énerver'... on se demande combien de fois elle le dit aux gens chaque jour... La nourriture est banale au mieux. Si vous n'aimez pas ce que vous faites, ne le faites pas. Laissez quelqu'un d'autre prendre votre place et rendre les clients heureux !
We stopped here for some drinks. We bought a round of drinks and asked for some water. The waitress repeatedly ignored us. My husband got upset and complained, but instead of apologising we were rudely told we shouldn’t expect water, it was busy, and they’d run out of carafe d’eau! We asked another waiter and five minutes later it arrived! She was very rude and unpleasant to us, looking at the other reviews it seems that service is a problem and they don’t like tourists in this place ...
This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of our guest house. We had tuna from the special board. It could have been a fantastic meal but the tuna was under-cooked even for us and we don't like it too well done. It was a very large and thick piece of fish and at the thickest part had not even warmed through in the middle. I suppose we should have sent it back but in a language that is not your own this is difficult. The desert and service were good.
