Hotel de la Poste

I spent a week with friends travelling from Dieppe, Honfleur, Marie St Eglise to Le Mans and this was the best place we found to eat by far. Although the vegetarian options were limited, the taste was so fantastic I would have had the same dish each visit, truly brilliant. My meat eating friends were equally impressed and we went back again the following evening. We met the chef Eric Legendre, who was happy to share his recipes with me too!

This restaurant was recommended by another couple from Paris (we are Canadian). We called the restaurant in advance and reserved, as well as informing them we were vegetarians with the help of our host. On arrival, they offered and we accepted a menu that was truly gourmet. All three of us (partner, aunt, self) ate beautiful and delicious 3-course meals at a very reasonable price for the high quality. Highly, highly recommended.

Traditional hotel with excellent food. We stopped on a Saturday lunchtime on our return journey and what a little gem. Will make sure we return this way again. Set menu at 18 Euros included Moroccan salad and slow braised beef and several scrumptious desserts.

Dinner served to our group of 16 was excellent, what you would expect from a lovely French hotel. We had a set menu and wasn't given a choice but we didn't ask for one! Not much left on anyone's plate at the end of the meal which says it all

An ideal place for good quality, home made cuisine designed to tantilse your taste buds! I'd recommend the home made burgers and hand cut chips.
