I wish i could rate this hotel better but it has some major things it needs to fix mainly the bug infestation they most certainly have. I was only there two days and had to deal with many lady bugs being in the room and a cockaroach on top of that. I cant say if the cocharoach was a fluke or not but they definitely have a lady bug infestation and though there are worse bugs than lady bugs an infestation is an infestation and i would not stay here again unless i knew that had been dealt with. I was also quite uneasy with the fact that the doors had no chain or separate deadbolt from the automatic lock. J'ai récemment eu la malheureuse expérience de séjourner à l'Hôtel des Arcades de Cachan Grand Paris Sud, et je dois exprimer ma déception. J'avais choisi cet hôtel en raison de l'assurance de la climatisation mentionnée sur leur site internet. L'affirmation de l'hôtel concernant la climatisation s'est avérée être un mensonge complet, m'obligeant à passer une première nuit chaude et inconfortable. Malgré mes meilleurs efforts pour obtenir de l'aide de la part du personnel de l'hôtel et ajuster le thermostat, la chambre est restée chaude. Pour aggraver les choses, la réponse du personnel de l'hôtel à ma plainte a été complètement méprisante et, à un certain moment, ils se sont même mis à rire...
We stayed here for 4 nights during our first abroad holiday after booking through Expedia and being recommended this hotel. It's about a 2 hour walk (or 10 minutes to the local metro from Paris, Expedia said the staff were French and English speaking however every staff member I spoke with only spoke French, it wasn't a problem with Google translate however but was a bit of a difficult patch on day 1 after the tiring travel. The room we booked was lovely and roomy, with instructions noted for devices (in both English and French such as the air conditioning, room service was great and nothing personal was ever moved, the neighbours were very quiet and we never felt bothered by anyone. The hotel description was misleading, contenental breakfast is not included, it's 12 euro per person per day. The hallways always had a weird and different smell each day. My family played whats that smell for the 3 days we stayed. We rented 3 rooms, one had a broken toilet seat upon arrival which they replaced right away. The AC unit broke down in another room and it was repaired the next morning so we went the night w/o AC. One other thing that my family noticed was the lack of security, anyone could walk in from the street and have acess to the elevator and then all 4 floors. Évitez cet endroit si possible. Séjour global : 1/5 Lit : 1/5 Propreté : 2/5 À 15 minutes à pied de la gare (quartier peu sûr, surtout la nuit) Personnel : 0/5 Nous n'avons pas pu dormir. Nous avons changé de chambre trois fois, toutes beaucoup trop chaudes pour passer une bonne nuit. Nous comprenons qu'ils éteignent la climatisation en dehors des mois d'été, mais il me semble qu'en juin, nous sommes toujours en été. De plus, la chambre devait avoir la climatisation selon l'annonce. Lorsque nous avons signalé le problème à la direction, ils se sont moqués de nous au lieu de prendre la situation au sérieux.
Very nice place. It was my first time in France and in Paris most hotels are expensive on holidays. That's the reason I booked this hotel. I know the prices varies by season but mine it was only €98 a room for maximum 3 people. It is very nice and clean hotel and rooms, for the price you paid, it worth every penny. Just little far from the center of Paris. A taxi will charge around $30 to get you at the center.
