Hotel du Rempart

You have to put this hotel into context to really appreciate it. It is a 2 star family run hotel in an old building in a historic town. It has a lively bar and terrace with stunning views across the vineyards. It is a short walk from the town centre. Areas of the hotel have been tastefully decorated whilst retaining the french style however it is getting welll worn so is genuinely shabby chic. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great view, no air conditioning but a fan is provided. The food is excellent quality, cooked to order, don't rush, this is France, have another drink and soak up the atmosphere! The food portions were far too large for us but perhaps the French expect that now. You can't help but think that serving slightly smaller portions might sell more deserts! We really enjoyed it, we had a few problems but a quick mention to the staff had everything sorted out.

nice service from a very friendly waitress, but the hotel needs some renovation to give it kerb attraktiw. can not be the terrace location with wonderful wine mountain view. we were a bit of glacial, so both ordered salate. both were plentiful to say that at least and were worth the money we paid. a pleasant lunch

Manger était correct. Le service est horrible (oui en majuscules). À jamais, le propriétaire et le gérant ne sont pas du tout aimables, et il faut les affronter car il faut payer à l'intérieur, pas de paiement à la table.

Il y a 6 jours, l'écorce de la NOUVELLE femme n'a pas été goûtée, renvoyée, retournée. Les escargots étaient insipides. Menus en papier. Absolument rien à recommander pour cet endroit. Visitez en octobre.

La nourriture était très savoureuse et authentique. Les serveurs étaient sympathiques et patients avec notre français de base. C'était incroyable et vous pouviez voir de nombreux vignobles.
