"The €12 "menu" is fantastic. 4 courses with unlimited bread and red wine. Soup, hors d'oeuvres, main and pudding. All outstanding. The place is normally busy so worth booking ahead."

We have eaten in this hotel/restaurant many times over the past 9 years. Unfortunately we visited on Monday 7th August and hadn't pre-booked. We intended going elsewhere but everywhere was shut! The place was packed, altho they managed to seat us. It appeared there were only 2 waiting staff and although they worked their socks off, the service was distinctly lacking on this occasion. The soup was barely warm, everything was very, very slow and by 10.30pm we still hadn't had desserts although we saw another table that arrived after us had been served much quicker. We decided to leave as it was getting too late to enjoy anything, even though the rush had died down at least an hour before. We left our dinner plates on the tables and went inside to pay the bill. We fully expected some kind of discount for the poor service and lack of courses, but in fact they tried to overcharge for one guest who only ate soup and salad. We would hesitate to go back if the place is so packed again and although it has some amazing feedback, this is because usually they are on top of their game, but not on this occasion. No tip left.

Over the years, we have consistently enjoyed a great, traditional French meal here, whether summer, winter or spring. Excellent menu du jour with lovely fish soup and/or foie gras as a small additional choice. And lunch or dinner : no difference. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! Fabulous value for money.

Every summer we return to this local favorite. The set lunch is such amazing value. The hostess personally greets and takes orders. The family serves and clears. Arrive early, or book a table.
