the flyhof is located on a quiet side street and offers a traditional restaurant with excellent eating and service in an uncomplicated atmosphere. sat on a warm summer evening, I sat on the terrace with beautiful views of the walensee and the surrounding mountains. Thumbs-up for the efficient and professional service during dinner. the menu is proud of local products and suppliers. I tried the seasonal three-course menu that proved a very good choice. as a starter was the pupa salad with mozzarella tender and refreshing a perfect summer dish. as the main course was the beef (fried meat) excellent with homemade potato puree, the meat was very tender and came out as much more generous. as dess...
this restaurant is so beautiful and eating is amazing! we do not eat in posh' restaurants to house and see how we were on a road trip, it was nice to have some luxury for the evening. it is quite expensive (woud say that the alcohol was more of a problem than the food), but it is such an amazing place to eat. we had head and desserts. the pesto linguine is handmade and my friend had the calf carving he really enjoyed. the desserts were beautiful, all handmade and very rich is taste! they were not rushed away from here. if they are in the Flyhof hotel or are in the surroundings, we would meet here in any case.
I left Stuttgart, Germany with a reservation at the Flyhof for a night's stay and arrived within a few hours to have one of the best meals I've had yet in Europe. There were a number of couples eating at the restaurant outside with a...beautiful view of the lake and a storm opened up causing all to head inside well decorated, furnished dining room. The service was excellent, the food was hot and delicious and the drinks were served with the same high level that matched everything else. I look forward to a repeat stay here even though I haven't spent the night yet.
we had a sensational midday menu here. light brise under a shadow of a baumes, view of the lake, well served fresh salad and local specialties really well made. Swiss with taste and fun. a really nice change to boring Swiss menus....to recommend. check the menu online if you want. unfortunately we were told that the access to the lake is not intended for the restaurant guests and only for hotel guests. I think that's fair enough.
