The service here absolutely takes top spot as the worst service EVER!!!....and I've been in some pretty ordinary places.The kitchen staff stood and looked at me as I waited to place an order. Only to find out from someone else I was in the wrong place. When I said they could have told meShe defended them saying they were busy, I explained he stood sharpening his knife looking at me. That's when it got bad "well do you want to order or not"......."you can leave if you want mate"I so wanted to leave but I was there with family and didn't want to inconvenience everyone.The industry is called hospitality, look up the meaning.
Unassuming hotel restaurant. We arrived a bit late to be sure of getting lunch in FRANCE--about 1.40. After a little hesitation we were made to feel welcome, and the cooking was excellent. Very reasonable prices. The slow cooked pork was a brilliant main, on a bed of fresh mixed beans-- the broad beans especially sweet and tender. Good puddings, including an unusual eclair made with ground almonds and including some crystallised pineapple in the cream. Very tasty.We left extremely content and will return if we are in this beautiful town again.
We had a lovely long lazy lunch here on the terrace out the back under the shade of the big tree. The surroundings really were lovely. Service was a little slow, but we were in no rush and it suited us well. There was a little garden where the children were able to let off a little steam too. Food was good and well presented - we went for the 3 course fixed menu (tomato and mozarella salad, turkey kebabs and cheese) while the children went for steak (excellently cooked) and chips.
