"Spent almost a whole afternoon here last June with my daughter and grandchild and we loved every minute of it. Had soup, reminded me of clam chowder, tea the friesian way (very nicely presented) and cake. We loved the food and also the atmosphere of the restaurant. Lovely terrace and garden, very quiet and romantic. Look forward to eat there again."

We spent a weekend in Greetsiel, where we had a late dinner in Witthus. We arrived around 20.30 without a reservation, where the rush hour was gone, but still almost all tables were in use.Everything that was served was made fresh, very nicely made up, and very tasty. My husband had the rumpsteak with Greetsiel Krabben (little tasty shrimps), which was excellent, I had the Wellen und Wogen (freshly made mattjes - a choice of different souced herring ) which was a pleasure for both eye and tongue. Both dishes came with the best german fries (home fries) we ate in a lot of years. They offer a fair range of wines, and a good choice of beers (open, not bottles), which made us happy.I would recom...
