H'ours Creole Smokehouse

Had a HORRIBLE experience here tonight. Disappointing would be understatement. Waited over an hour for our food and when it was still not at the table asked the waitress (actually had to find another waiter to find her) to just go ahead and cancel it as we had plans we had to go to. She showed up 5 minutes later and said the food was ready now. I said no thank you we really do have plans we have to get to now. Please bring the check. As we have now been at the table for over and hour and have had 1 beer and 1 wine and the stale bread they brought to the table. We are locals and spontaneously decided to stop here for lunch. We had no idea what we were in for! Apparently they do brunch 1st Sunday of the month and typically need reservations but they were able to squeeze our party of 2 in right away. The service was amazing and the food was delicious, fresh, from scratch, homemade southern goodnesssss!We ordered spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips as appetizer and it might have been the best I've ever had. For entrees I ordered fried chicken with sweet bread. It was like a chicken n waffles type meal but southern style as the chicken had a cornmeal breading and everything was topped with a pepper jam. This place is phenomenal I've eaten here a few times and stepped out of my comfort zone and tried food I usually wouldn't eat I loved everything I tried. Tonight my son and I tried the tacos they were the best and most unique tasting tacos I've ever had I've been all over the United States and Mexico and I try tacos wherever I go these are hands down my favorite the HOURS is my family's new spot the staff is great and the food is five stars..

I loved everything about this restaurant! Went for anniversary dinner over the weekend and was blown away. The food was authentic creole food done the right way. Also, the menu changes daily, i believe.Joe, our server, was very pleasant and efficient. Absolutely wonderful service.I HIGHLY recommend giving thus place a try. 5 's aren 't enough!

I picked this restaurant for my son's birthday dinner and we loved it! The food was flavorful and delicious and our service was excellent. We will definitely return!
