Last night, we satisfied our Chinese food cravings with our favorite place, How Lee! The food was prepared perfectly, arrived on time, and was as hot as could be! I used my steam-releasing technique, as always, and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Dragon Phoenix, which comes without vegetables and consists of General Tso's chicken and hot and spicy shrimp served with white rice—just the right level of heat! They don't win awards for nothing, folks; this food is incredible. I can’t wait to dine in at the restaurant again—you just can't beat the experience. The egg foo young was also fantastic and will definitely be a regular choice for me in the future. The egg rolls had great flavor, though I wish they had a bit more filling. I enjoyed the shrimp fried rice and lo mein, too. While I've had better fried rice in the past, I appreciated the texture and would happily order it again later in the evening when the wok has had a bit more action. It had plenty of shrimp and the right seasoning.
Overall, I would order everything on the menu again and can't wait to try more!
This Chinese restaurant truly ticks all the boxes for a great dining experience. The service is quick and the staff is easy to communicate with. While the seating area is small, it’s adequately spaced. The food is absolutely delicious—I can't emphasize enough how good it is! It’s not only one of the best in the Washington area; it could stand out anywhere.
The food was fantastic, and I would definitely order from here again. The Happy Family dish featured a delicious savory sauce and a nice assortment of high-quality meats. The Mongolian beef was excellent, especially after I added some chili paste I had at home, as it was a bit sweet before that. Overall, I can't wait to order again!

really small pieces of chicken lots and lots of breading made for crunchy little nuggets of chicken. ordered chicken fried rice, has large chunks of egg white and bean sprouts and while I realize thats a more higher quality product I kind of prefer the cheaper fried rice without egg or any of that other stuff.
These Rangoons are the best I've had! Unlike some places, they're not overly sweet; instead, they're cheesy and delightful. I also really enjoy the shrimp rolls—so filling and full of flavor. If you're a fan of spicy noodles, I highly recommend trying their Singapore rice noodles as well!
This is a wonderful family-owned restaurant that treats you like a friend every time you walk in. The food is consistently hot and delicious. They always get my request for well-cooked broccoli just right. I’m a loyal fan of How Lee and will always support them!
How Lee is our favorite Chinese restaurant by far. The sesame chicken and teriyaki beef and chicken skewers are perfect every time. The quality of the food is consistently excellent, and the portions are generous, leaving plenty for leftovers.

Was a little worried when I ordered since it was going to be a long wait time. Food arrived SUPER quick and still hot and steamy. Havent ordered from how lee before on DD. Definitely going to more frequently now!!
