To answer the last question... 100% VEGAN FOOD HERE. This is one of my favorite places. Donation $5 for buffet lunch, daily. The food is not always spot-on, most of the dishes are fairly bland and some VERY strange vegetables can pop up. If you're into the fake meat you may be disappointed by the scarcity of it here. But there are several selections on the buffet line, and most of them are delicious. They have SALAD BAR now, which really rocks, though they are a bit lax about keeping the trays full. A large fresh fruit bar as well. If anything, THREE STARS for the food, FIVE for the value, and FIVE for the Temple grounds themselves... simply gorgeous. No one will EVER APPROACH YOU about Budd...
I didn't have enough to spend there, but I'll definitely go back and take my time. Very serene and zen atmosphere and vib.So much to see and explore and so be done at a cool pace and not rushed.There is a library where you can check out books or read there. Quiet. Relaxing reading rooms. Very very nice staff. Amazing. There are some free books you can take.There's a tea room and gift shop. 2 temples, a really good art gallery that has new Exhibits that rotates out.I didn't have time to stay for the vegetarian buffet but the red bean and custard cakes I got that is made fresh on the spot there was really yummy! If you get there earlier enough, there is plenty of free parking on site.

This is one of the most renowned temples in the country, featuring stunning Chinese architecture, breathtaking views, and impressive Buddha statues. The staff and volunteers are incredibly friendly. A must-visit destination! The atmosphere is peaceful and serene. The monastery features a museum, a main shrine, two Zen gardens, and a food hall. The view from the top of the hill is absolutely stunning!
The temple is built on the hill, Chinese style, good Feng Shui, nicely designed and built with deities inside or outside the buildings. A unique temple in the states. Peaceful and quiet place to worship.
