This restaurant was recommended to us by some fellow visitors to the area who had already enjoyed a good lunch in this restaurant with some of the best views in St. Johann. We were not disappointed. We were able to sit at an outside table as the weather was so good & took lots of photographs of the great views in all directions as we waited for our delicious lunch. We both opted for local sausages with sauerkraut, washed down by local beers. The service was friendly, the food was very good, the prices were reasonable but the star of the show was the beautiful view we had across the lovely town towards the mountains - we were even able to watch people paragliding down them.
Huber is the local town brewery of St Johann in Tirol and they are very proud of their heritage. They style themselves at 'The Beer from Here'. The brewery building is right in the middle of the town and features a central concrete 5-storey tower. On its own this could have been a bit of an eyesore, but they have attached a balcony to 3 sides of the top floor and opened a restaurant and bar with the best view in town. On a summer evening it is a great place to sit sipping a cold beer and watching the sun set behind the Wilderkaiser mountains. If you visit St Johann then try this at least once.
Unhygienisch. Die Brötchen und Brezeln total trocken und die Reste vom Nachbartisch wurden an den nächsten Tisch weitergegeben. Der Kellner fasste sie mit bloßen Händen an. Essen schmeckte nicht gut und war auch nicht sehr ansehnlich angerichtet. Es stinkt im ganzen Restaurant nach Rauch und die Gemütlichkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig.
Leuke locatie met fraai uitzicht. Bier van Huberbrau is prima. Eten is echter zeer belabberd: schnitzels die NIET gaar zijn en salade die veel te veel dressing bevat, absoluut niet aan te raden dus. De service was niet echt persoonlijk , hoewel wel redelijk attent. Ander attentiepunt: er wordt binnen volop gerookt. Réservez une table maintenant
Even on a wet day it was a lovely place to sit and admire the scenery. It is smaller than I expected and no reservations accepted, but everyone who arrived got a seat. Food good and quality good too. Service staff rushed off their feet so don't expect fast food service.
