Hugo's Frog Fish House Naperville

Once we were assigned a server, the experience was good. We were in a “floater” or a “pick up” section and had no official server for 15+ minutes. A female server (who was done with her shift) came and asked for our drink order after noticing no one had greeted us. Eventually several employees acknowledged the mistake and ultimately the manager came over to apologize for the misunderstanding of our section … no compensation was made in the end despite what was promised. All that being said, I am not looking for compensation, but given the lack of attention initially and what was promised to us….in the end I was disappointed when the bill was handed to me. The food was delicious though

We made dinner reservations via Open Table with no issues. Arrived and was promptly seated. We were greeted by the wait/ service staff within 3 minutes. Water and bread followed shortly. We were also greater by management (manager and later by the assistant manager). The wait staff covered our table very well. We had a total of 3 servers working with us throughout our dinner. I really liked that concept. My wife had the crabcakes and I had the Chilean Seabass. Both were delicious!! The only negative was the lobster bisque was missing lobster. Not a bit or morsel of lobster could be found. Other than that, the evening was fantastic. I look forward to dining at Hugo’s Frog Bar soon!!

We have eaten at Hugos several times the food is always good ! The service tonight was friendly but extremely slow and it was not busy . We were seated at 5 pm and received our drink by 5:25 . Food was served promptly. However, I ordered another glass of wine and didn’t receive it until half way through my dinner . Staff was friendly plenty of bus boys, food runners and managers present so the slow service was unexplainable. Once we asked for the check it took approximately 10 15 minutes to receive. Not sure we will go back

Hugo’s food is very good. However the service experience the night of our meal was subpar. Service staff was rude (not our direct waitress but a helper) and they also forgot to bring out so of our add-ons. The food is good, but overall service was unimpressive for the price. Could perhaps have been the outdoor section. Réservez une table maintenant

When we first arrived they wanted to seat us right as you walk in the door, which is the worst place to sit and should be used for last minute walk-ins. We ended up sitting in the back patio which was very nice. Our server was great too!

The outdoor seating on the Patio was wonderful, our waiter handled our special requests beautifully, and the food was fabulous.

Had reservations, seated right away, the food and service was very good. We would return and recommend Hugo’s Frog Bar.

Even acknowledging the recent inflation in food and labor costs. the prices at Hugo's are a bit exhorbitant. Réservez une table maintenant
