There are plenty of sausages cooked in various styles, salads and pasta type dishes. The food is usually washed down with plenty of beer served by staff in traditional dress. It is however not a tourist trap and the servings are very large if lacking in flourish. Four of us had lunch for less than 50€ and had an enjoyable time but this was due to the atmosphere not the food.

This place has been here a long time. It is very traditional Bavarian, dressed with staff to fit. There is a good selection of Bavarian dishes. As expected, these majors on sausage, pork, sauerkraut and accompaniment. Cost-effective menu items are available when you are on a budget. The beer is excellent.

Several friends have stayed here - and all reported that it's a straightforward, clean, old-skool place. If you're thinking of overnighting, then bring ear plugs since it's right next to the church tower and the bells start at 6am.
Forget about the much-talked about Hofbrauhaus in city centre if it's the food you're after. This hotel's small restaurant can cook solid Bavarian specialities at reasonable prices! Very delicious too.
We had a good lunch here. Treatment was fine, not extremely friendly, but fine. They had coloring papers and pencils for children. No English speaking staff. Food was OK.
