my family and some friends from zürich decided to go to the dog-wiler hoehe for the august, the hike is about hours steep hills, but when they get up, there are breathing, breathtaking views of the saentis and surrounding...areas, the restaurant with the garden terrace is beautiful. we have made reservations, because of the holidays and there was so nice to reserve us, a table for outside and inside because of the possible incoming rainstorm. safe enough of the rain came and we went in and all the other guests ran to cover and tried to find a place. they really know what the service is. the aim was to taste the soup in the famous restaurant and enjoy the view. after 1.5 hours of hiking we have ordered rösti. the food was a huge disappointment: soup boring with a few pieces of wool and bouillon made of powder; rösti bathed in oil, much too much roasted and even more salted. to the happiness there was enough bread to cover the evil taste. the personal sass bored on the bank, you had to get it first. we will never eat again - much rather simply take a sandwich.A proverb says: "the profitable restaurant must have 3 success factors: the location, the location and ... the location." and this is fantastic and the walk there allal value!...in contrast to the restaurant.
the climb to the hundwilerhöchi takes from zürchersmühle depending on the selected route approx. 1h 15 to 1h 40, the plan of the terrace rewards one for the walked height meters. Unfortunately, today the terrace was closed because of the very alternating weather and we have to take in the restaurant space. the friendly service, however, likes the standing smell (of wood fire and kitchen?) and the countless nerves fly not to upgrade - just drink a bit and back down from the mountain.
I read in an appendices leader that it was a secret tip! the whole family was freezing there and then it was a perfect broke! contest in the kitchen that only laughed at us, then waited 1.5h on Hörnli and Siedwurst, everything came over very tasty, even though it was finally even delicious. overpriced and unfriendly...you can enjoy more beautiful tours in the appenzellerland or the proviant from the backpack eat

beautifully located, on alpstein and to the lake. service staff friendly, dine, na yes. grilling works, salat fits, breakfast: brot, butter, jam, cheese and coffee tastes nothing! in the whole restaurant catastrophic smell, "grass appenzeller!" absolutely impossible to eat! a beer or juice and fast on!
with beautiful weather is a hike to the dogwiler height absolutely recommended. the lookout is great, the staff very friendly and accommodating. the food was like you imagined at such a place: a relatiw small card, but fresh, lush and very good.We are definitely coming back.

very happy about the rest at the top of the snow and wind. always popular with walkers. traditional decor. had a very delicious venison sausage and good mixed salad. friendly staff.
