Some of the best dim sum you have ever tasted anywhere is back in Ottawa. Was there tonight and the new place is much larger and nicer. Food is fantastic as it always was. Can't believe it's been almost two years since they were open. Was not disappointed! Now don't go there if you are in a rush, for those of you who don't know, everything is made-to-order and will be some of the freshest dim sum you have ever tasted. In fact it is one of the top dim sum restaurants that I have ever been to even after having lived in Toronto for five years and having travelled extensively around Asia. Wait time today was about 15 min. We had the har gow, siu mei, lor mai gai (sticky rice), rice noodles, yu c...

2pm arrival, half full restaurant, 20 mins to get seated, 1 hr until the first dish came out. I've never experienced this level of slow service. 1 server for the restaurant, she did everything and tried very hard and was pleasant. The only good dish was the Cantonese shrimp dumpling. Stuffed green pepper was ok, insufficient sauce and not flavourful. Stuffed eggplant pieces were tiny, dry with very little and flavourless sauce. Deep fried stuffed tofu was flavourless. Chicken feet skin was tough and flavourless. Tofu skin rolls had no flavor. Beef in rice wraps were cold, flavourless sauce, and way too thick and not at all delicate. Cantonese noodles with bean sprout were cold. Lotus leaf st...

One of the rare dim sum restaurants that makes all of their dishes from scratch (even the classic fried flat noodle dish you may be familiar with the 'Beef fried flat noodle dish offered in many Chinese take out). They started in the first floor of a single family dwelling roughly a decade or so ago and have moved to a proper restaurant building to accommodate more clients. Come early for the wait is long due to not only many customers but the dishes themselves are made from scratch and brought fresh right away from their steamers. Dim sum was always a weaker offering compared to Toronto but the availability of 'freshly created ' dishes definitely gives it the edge. It 'd be hard to find a p...

2+hrs, 60% of order. Staff were clueless about the wait. We had to tell them there were open tables before getting seated. 45mins after ordering, the food started trickling in one dish at a time over the next hour. Periodically the server would come over to the table and tell us certain things were not available. The food we did get was good but definitely not worth the wait. We ended up canceling the remainder of our order after over 2 hours as we were told the cook hadn't started preparing it. Dim Sum is a traditional Chinese cuisine that is supposed to be quick.....there was nothing quick about our experience. Definitely won't recommend or be back. Réservez une table maintenant

Pretty busy at lunch time on a Saturday but only waited a few minutes for 2 people. We ordered 6 dishes and it was okay. The dishes could have been a big bigger. Some of the items were much smaller than dim sum places, say in the GTA. But for Ottawa, this is probably one of the better dim sum spots. The food is a bit slow and it took at least 20 30 minutes for it to arrive. Har how and siu mai were yummy! The chiu chow dumpling was ok in taste but definitely not how a chiu chow dumpling should be in terms of what was inside and the flavouring. The grilled squid was good. The sesame ball was mediocre texture was a bit off inside but taste was ok.

I came here with my family for some late night dim sum. First of all, I love that they even offer late night dim sum. We went at 7:30pm on a Wednesday. Dim sum was simple as ordering off a menu and they had everything available. The food was delicious! The food came out quick! The service was great and the staff were super friendly. I would definitely come again. One of the best dim sum places I've been to in Ottawa. They only take cash or debit.

Really enjoyed our first dim sum experience here today. Wasn't able to try a lot of dishes, as there were only 2 of us..But everything was good. Looking forward to coming back with more people to try more dishes! Everything deep fried was crispy and not oily. Not a lot of vegetarian options though on the dim sum menu, if that's a consideration. Very good service, clean and tidy interior.

Used to frequent this place; seems that things really went down during the pandemic a beef/rice dish was served in a broken casserole, on top of the tous, beef was not edible too fatty and jello like. Really too bad, as much as I want to support local places, this is really unacceptable see photo. Do not recommend. Réservez une table maintenant

20211230 We must have ordered 10+ dim-sum dishes were completely full with left-overs to take home. Service price were both good. If you drive, arrive early as there are less than 10 parking spots reserved for Hung Sum. There are street parking in the neighbourhood though. Highly recommended!!
