Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse

We arrived at 7pm for our reservation at the restaurant. Our drink and appetizer orders were taken, but by 7:30pm, we still hadn't seen our waiter. When he finally came over, we ordered our dinners. After 30 minutes, two other people brought out our food. They checked on us and I asked to speak to a manager. I had ordered my steak medium, but it came out rare. They took it back and also took my husband's sides to keep warm. When they brought my steak back, it was still rare. After sending it back a third time, it came out well done. Cozy table by the fireplace set us up for a nice birthday dinner thank you for the card. We enjoyed the pear martini, lobster escargot, lobster bisque, Australian wagyu filet, lobster, wild mushrooms, and dessert. The oysters were pretty good only one gritty one in the bunch. The dry age steak wasn't for us, but there were so many steaks to choose from, we will be sure to try something different next time. Our servers were nice. We enjoyed the live piano music coming from the next room over. 4.5 We'll be back!

The food was delicious as always. I always order the Heart of the Ocean cocktail which is my favorite cocktail out of any restaurant. The taste was a little off that night for some reason. I did not notify the server so I guess that is on me. I just hope the consistency of a delicious cocktail prevails on our next visit. The complimentary and delicious smores dessert for our anniversary was a very nice touch.

The food and service were excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The steak was amazing, tender, and practically melted in my mouth. We also tried the Australian Wagyu filet mignon, which our friend adored. The salmon was perfectly cooked, moist, and delicious. The Brussels sprouts were also fantastic.
