"Pea soup, pastrami sandwich, pulpo with risotto all excellent, wine selections very good. Just wish they didn’t charge for tap water which seemed excessive and never saw before."

Restaurant located in a very particular and well-kept cottage. Inside, the furnishings resemble those of a luxury mountain chalet. We ordered a surprise menu consisting in four courses: the first two courses, although quite good, were ridiculously small, the third course the pork knuckle with a sauce was the best dish of the evening. The desserts were not to our liking. Price is high.

The chef’s surprise menu surpassed expectations. The warm fire enhanced the atmosphere. The server Sabrina was amazing, couldn’t do enough for us, engaging, professional, and calm (even though the restaurant was busy and full). The reception staff Kai was fabulous when checking us in, escorting us to our room, and making us feel welcome. Would 100% come back.

I used to avoid hotel restaurants but here it looked inviting, country style framed by a burning fire. Embarrassed, I found that my prejudices came to shame when it came to service in Germany..This was the best in a very long time, knowledgeable, sympathetic, forthcoming and a bit humorous.Top it off with good wine selection, modern tasty dishes.

Really upmarket setting and food. Definitely on the favourites list. We only went for a quick bite, but it would be a lovely place to linger. The menu was a little confusing, there was no official starters and mains. You can order off the whole menu, some dishes come in different sizes. The picture of the monkfish is the large portion.
