I've been going to Hykel since my teenage years. Even though I moved to Miami some years ago, I recently returned to visit family. Hykel is a fantastic neighborhood bar and barbecue spot. I enjoyed my first cheesesteak in almost three years because I believe it’s best to have it only in the Philly area. This cheesesteak was outstanding—packed with perfectly cooked meat, nestled in a wonderfully soft roll, and served piping hot. The portion of fries was nearly too large for me to finish, but I managed! We love Hykels! It is perfect for a casual bar experience with great service and excellent food. The back deck is so funny in summer, we love it here with friends for beer and wings. The wings are amazing! The perfect sweet and spicy combination. I can't recommend this place enough.
The food here is delicious. Great beer. Amazing wings. Service is awesome. Definitely recommend this place. The only issue I had is we sat outside on the deck which was great) but people were allowed to smoke.
