My friend and I went for afternoon tea and also ordered some starters from the a la carte menu scallops and the prawn cocktail. The starters were disappointing small portions for the price and looked better than they tasted. For a restaurant in a 5 star hotel, I expected better. Luckily the food in the afternoon tea was far better but was let down by the limited range of teas available and the flavours were weak. We had to ask for milk as we weren't offered any. Perhaps they expected people to just drink it black but they should offer it as not everyone enjoys black tea. Other 5 star hotels offering afternoon tea, has more extensive ranges of teas on offer. A very pleasant eating environment totally spoiled by a selfish vaping guest. Management timidly asked the offender to cease but he totally disregarded that request and continued openly vaping in close proximity to my party one of whom has complex health issues. Management refused to press the matter.........shocking and the guest vaped away merrily and openly. Apart from that the food was OK, the service was friendly and attentive but any analysis of value suffers when a £40 plus bottle of wine turns up with a screwtop. Avoid.
Afternoon tea was wonderful the combination of flavours was exceptional. A good balance of savoury and sweet. An excellent selection of teas would recommend the green gunpowder loose leaf tea. Service was excellent friendly and attentive. The Iasg restaurant has a relaxing ambience. Would highly recommend.
The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. There was a great selection of dishes, and I particularly loved the chicken served with potato pave, pearl onions, and mushrooms! The hotel also looks very nice based on the lobby.

Excellent service and fantastic food! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The dishes were delicious, served warm, and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the food and drinks at the Blythswood Hotel!
Fantastic as always . The Blythswood hotel , spa and restaurant is amazing. Best food in Glasgow by a country mile . Staff are so welcoming, great hospitality and service start to finish.
I reserved an afternoon tea and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was very attentive without being intrusive, the food was fantastic, and the entire experience was delightful.
We had a lovely meal while staying in the hotel, the service was excellent as was the food
