We stopped for lunch on our way home from the lake on Sunday and found a lovely, home-style restaurant. They had a buffet featuring meatloaf, gravy, mashed potatoes, and all the fixings that looked enticing, but we decided to go with the burgers. Although it took a bit of time to receive our food, the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, so I imagine they weren't prepared for a larger group (we had seven people). The burgers were excellent, served with fresh tomato slices from a local garden, and the tater tots were delicious. We all indulged in sundaes for dessert, which were enjoyable as well. While the menu isn't very extensive, it offers a decent selection of burgers and sandwiche...
The orange juice was not very good, and they didn't provide marinara sauce with the mozzarella sticks, which seems like a standard expectation. The food took quite a while to arrive, with at least a 15-minute gap between the first person in our large party receiving their meal and the last. The burger was better than average, and the fries and tater tots were decent. However, the staff was friendly and attentive, which was a plus.
